Comments: RE: Barnett information missing:
Claude Barnett is my great-grandfather. I shall send you the dates of his death.
Dora Thigpen Barnett is my great-grandmother.
Louis T. Jones is my great-grandfather and I remember him well and attended his funeral when I was 10 years old as well as spent every Xmas from birth to present at his house. I have a recording of him singing the year before his death. As well as photos.
Lucinda Peppers Jones is my great grandmother. She died shortly after bearing twin daughters in 1936. One one of the twins, my greataunt Jeanette Wilson survived.
There were two sons: My uncles Doyle and Hollis who are both dead and have children and grandchildren. And eight sisters! Mrs. Ora Lee Allen, Mrs. Earlene MacDonald, Mrs. Maudie East and Miss Dorothy Jones of Lexington, Alabama. Of Killen, Alabama, my grandmother, Willie Pearl Barnett. Of Loretto, Tennessee, Mrs. Jeanette Wilson. My aunts Rachel Fleming of Loretto and Florence Audrey Killen of Lexington both recently died.
I have photos of the entire family circa 1935 or so as well as "Poppy" as we called my great-grandfather Louis, and them as a couple with Maudie, Hollis and Doyle when they were small.

Your Karl Zinssmeister is my great great grandfather.
Born Aug 19 1859.Immigrated in 1875 via Bremenhaven to NYC.
Died Arlington Va 20 March 1935. Buried Syracuse NY
Either he or immigration changed his first name to Carl. Was known in USA as Dr Carl Zinssmeister DD Lutheran Synod of New York. Had five children with Mary Snell of Little Falls NY. Mary died 1891. He remarried a Helene and can be found in the US 1920 and 1930 census in New York. Only two of children known to me. Grace, and Carl Luther Zinssmeister who was born 25 July 1890 Fryburg PA and died 12 March 1982 in East Aurora, NY. He changed his last name as a young chemist on the verge of WWI to "Masters". Through my Father John Dana Masters to me...and my daughter. Thank you for your earlier work.

Comments: My daughter Anne and I are seeking the Alsace family roots of my Great Grandfather. His name was Karl Luther Zinssmeister and all we know is that he was born in "Alsace/Pfaltz" and that he became the Superintendent of the Lutheran Synod of New York,& responsible for the founding of some 80 churches in Pennsylvania, Ohio and central New York State. He is last seen living in Queens NY in the 1920 census, and the church tells us he is buried in Syracuse NY. The dates for your Karl, issue of Franz and Helene in 1859 look like a possible match. Would appreciate any further bits of information if anyone has any.
Thanks...Great site!

Comments: Hallo,
bin durch Zufall auf diese ausgezeichnete Web-Seite gestoßen: Heute am Ostersonntag 2005 war es für mich wie Ostereiersuchen. Habe auch was gefunden. So z.B. meine Großmutter Katharina Haffner geb.
