Know all Men by these presents that I, David
Lancaster, of Williamson County and State of Tennessee
for divers good causes and considerations me hereunto moving
have made ordained authorised nominated and appointed
and do by these presents make ordain nominate and
appoint Oliver Williams of Williamson City
and State of Tennessee my true and lawfull attorney
for me and in my name and for my own proper use to
ask, demand and sue for recover and receive of the
District Paymaster for the State of Tennessee
all such sum or sums of money, debts or demands whatsoever
which are now due and owning unto me the said David
Lancaster gy the United States for my services in Brigadier
General John Caffee's Brigade of Tennessee Volunteer
Mounted Gun Men
as per my certificate of service herewith and to take
and use all lawfull ways and meanes in my name or
otherwise for the recovery thereof by attachments arrest
distress or otherwise and to compound and agree for the
same and acquittances or other sufficient discharges for
the same for me and in my name to make seal and deliver
and do all other lawfull acts and thing whatsoever concerning
the premises as fully and in every respect as I myself
might or could do were I personally present at the doing
thereof in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal this the 11th day of October 1815.
