Will of Mary LakeyIn the name of God amen – I Mary Lake of Moore County and State of North Carolina being in a low state of health, but being perfectly in my senses, blessed be God for it, and calling to mind my worldly affairs, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner as follows: That is to say, First I give an bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Lake five shillings and my will and desire is that all my property both real and personal be held and after all by debts are paid, that the remainder be equally divided amongst Nancy Lake and Viney Overton and Mary Kennady and Lucy Stuts and James Lakey and William Lake, only ten dollars extraordinary be given to Henry Stuts, for the schooling of William Lake, and I do hereby appoint my two sons in law, David Overton and Henry Stutts Executors to this my last will and testament as witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 17th July 1805.
